We were treated more like family than hotel guests (2025)
I just spent a week at Rising Wolf Ranch (3rd time visitor) with a group of 16 hiking friends. The Stewart family who own the ranch, and staff Dave & Nola are warm and welcoming and we were treated more like family than hotel guests. Chris Stewart (manager and chief chef) is organized and flexible – booking and pre-arrival communication was excellent. We were given a wide variety of options for meals, and all meals were delicious!! We spent most of our days hiking in nearby Glacier National Park, but Chris helped us to organize some off-site activities one day and another day a hike on the property to a nearby swimming hole along the river where we spent a relaxing (and cooling on a very hot day) half day. The 100 year old main lodge is in good repair and very interesting historically – be sure to check out the history binders and photo albums in the dining room. Both the main lodge and ranch house have comfortable lounge/relaxing areas where guests can hang out – books and games are plentiful. Both buildings are clean and comfortable. Rising Wolf Ranch is my favorite place to visit with a large group, and I am already planning my next stay there.
