Whatever one is seeking for a nature type vacation Rising Wolf Ranch is the ideal place.
Abounding in scenic beauty, a friendly staff and plenty of activities if one wishes.
Activities such as walking trails, horseback riding, floating, white water, fishing or
reading by a mountain stream, and Glacier Nat'l Park are readily available. |
Our family, totaling 16, has enjoyed the ranch on 5 different occassions, a wedding,
vacation time, and family reunions. Each experience has been a total joy and
we look forward to a return visit.
Thank you for extending to us the beauty and privilege of staying at Rising Wolf Ranch.
Always a magical place that soothes the soul and melts away the stresses of everyday life,
it captured the hearts of all giving us memories for a lifetime. It is fun to watch the
transformation of people, who think on the day of arrival that it is essential to check
their e-mail and phone messages, morph, by Tuesday, into people who no longer think all
that is important shedding layers of everyday life as they adapt to the beauty of the ranch
and Glacier. Upon return, my group eagerly called all their friends to report what a great
time they had...the photographs, the beauty of the park, the food, that big blue sky and
the uique and beautiful peace of the ranch. Truly an addiction worth having...
||Best vacation ever!|
My family had our reunion here for a whole week -- greatest vacation/reunion we ever had!
We took advantage of the optional cook (Nola) and she was the greatest -- made us feel like she was a
sister from another mother(she was from the south after all) -- she did an absolutely awesome job of feeding our hungry horde :) .
The views from the lodge and ranch house were ridiculously beautiful. And it was a comfortable place --
If you are all hoity toity, this place isn't for you. Very laid back and comfortable.
Creek/river runs very near and Glacier Park within 20 min. If you can not live without technology,
this isn't for you either -- but it absolutely was the greatest place to spend quality time with loved ones.
||This summer, my husband and I hosted our family and closest friends for
five days at Rising Wolf Ranch. So many times since we have been home we have said, "Thank God we found that Ranch!"
The Ranch property is absolutely stunning. Even our most urban of friends found themselves fishing in the river,
wandering off on long hikes and losing hours staring at the mountains from the hammock. Even if you never made it over to Glacier National Park,
you would leave your stay at the Ranch understanding how majestic and special this corner of Montana is. We booked the Ranch based on a few photographs
and when we arrived to see that it exceeded our expectations.
The historic lodge is something out of a day dream. If you're anything like us, you will love the history and rustic beauty of the building.
Antlers and classic books and fireplaces -- it has everything you'd want in a mountain lodge. Teddy Roosevelt would have been right at home!
Many of our guests were "city slickers" who hadn't spent a lot of time roughing it in the great outdoors. But the Ranch House was modern and
comfortable enough to put them right at ease. And it's close to plenty of hikes inside and out of the park, with a wide range of lengths and levels
of difficulty. We saw a enormous grizzly bear on the property, and a moose in the marshes around the beautiful Two Medicine Lake.
All of our guests were crazy about the staff and owner, too. Jim is incredibly accommodating (he actually lent me his personal house to get
ready for my wedding away from the crowd and let us cut some gorgeous flowers from his garden!) and knowledgeable. He added so much to the experience for us.
I cannot recommend Rising Wolf Ranch enough. It's beautiful and offers an incredible value compared to so many of the other lodges and homes we looked at. If you're looking for a place that really fosters a sense of community and a personalized group experience, this is it.
Wolf Ranch is an ideal location for groups such as ours because visitors can
enjoy the energizing ambience, the history of the 1920's style accommodations
and the seclusion workshops need. It is close enough to the grand mountain
splendor of Glacier Park and yet the quietness we like for our groups.
Montana Art Workshops have enjoyed bringing artists and nature lovers to the area
for years. The facility has the right combination of rooms for classes and
has many picturesque spots to capture right on the grounds. The inviting
decks beckon visitors to sit and reflect the day as well as marvel at the vast
beauty of the Montana sky. Nights are often filled with multitudes of
stars in the cool crisp air. Come and enjoy some Montana hospitality at
Rising Wolf Ranch.

||What a great week.
Your ranch is truly beautiful. Adjusting to the Illinois humidity has been a jolt.
I'm not sure how our daughter found you, but what a delight. The true compliment
"Can we go back next year?" It was nice visiting with you and thank you so much for
your many kindnesses.|
